Sketchbook & notes from making Apple Sauce
‘In the morning when Tiny King picks out his clothes for the day, he gets to decide who is going to live in the breast pocket of his jacket. It’s a very special thing to be chosen as the pocket passenger and whomever it is will leap in with joy, sometimes head first!
Occasionally when it’s too warm for a jacket and Tiny King is tired, he will curl up between The Wolf’s ears and snuggle into her fur. The Wolf liked this a lot because Tiny King sang the sweetest songs in his sleep and she would get to go about her day with a melody in her ear. These days he will not choose a companion, but will leave his jacket hung from a branch of the tree so that the children can get into his pocket to play.’
